Inside Out

Art manifests the desire to draw the inside out.
Our Feelings are catalogued in our personal library of experiences, and we play them as symphonies. At time notes, clash, we miss a beat, or we go silent.
A doodle, a bit of paint, a cutout,  a slab of clay can act like a lead  towards reflection and realisation.
John Koenig in The Dictionary of Obsure Sorrows embraces in words our unspoken feelings. Art can be the thread to untangle to find charity.

  1. A very big hello Holly,
Lorenza here from Australia. I received your post and it triggered memories of our time together at Kiddy. I miss the art projects. I have tried to inspire my new student with your ideas however with little success. How are you doing? I pray your family are well!
Where does this email find you? I know you were travelling, and I would love to know where you ended up. I am returning to Italy for a change of pace. My small-town in Oz has my family however as a single person I find it all a little uninspiring on a professional level. The international schools provided some deeper intellectual thinking.
Be safe and take care. Maybe we might get to meet up some day for a chat. I always loved our conversations. They were some times a little too deep for my simple thinking and basic ideas however you always got me thinking outside of the box.
    Your friend Lorenza

    • Dear Lorenza,
what a pleasure to hear from you.
I am fine and dandy and in Switzerland for the moment.
I have decided to go on and educational research tour and I will be writing article on what makes a great Kindergarten. I would love to have your contribution.

The Atelier concept isn’t easy in this era of consumerism and quick fix solutions.

Wonderyo hear you are travelling again.
Where will you be in Italy? Will you be working?

Yes let’s chat soon and I would love to hear what you have been up to.
Can you write to me at hbfwarren@yahoo.com.
      Super hugs.
      Holly
