Villasimius, Sardinia where my family and I spend our summer has an incredible impact on my thought patterns thus on my art. Spending 2 month here and then moving back to the mainland, in a town gives me the possibility of having two very different visions of the installation process of any of my artwork.

Experimenting with the Boundaries of Imagination. A Journey into the unexpected.

Boundaries? Imagination?

Where, what, how, when are they set, if set at all?

Do these boundaries stay still or do they fluctuate? Do they set foundations? Are they in construction or are they set in stone? Are they forever or transitory?

Wandering Minds travel along the outline of imagination

https://hbfwarren.com/

Our mind wanders and in its travels questions, connects, adjusts, narrates and wonders. We never cease to stop thinking and our thoughts fire and travel constantly. Mostlty they travel along the known path and at times when we decide ti stir it as we have been inspired or knocked out of the path, we update and change. At this point it is difficult to go back. We can look back but what we see will never be the same.

Think Outside the Box. Reach and Stretch

Our mind wanders, constantly. It never tires of flowing, jumping, somersaulting. At times it walks away, stops and gets stranded. Deep inside in its meanders wonders happens and we are not aware of them. In some cases, we don’t need to the mind is autonomous. When we need to know the circuit of connections make its way to the surface and we light up. Eureka!

In times when life asks questions we need to reach out, stretch and search. We need to think outside the box, our box and look for unfamiliar and apparently strange associations. We need to walk a different way be brave.

This artwork would like to represent this journey. The box is a recycled item, my mind is not newly formed the paper strips are the beginning of pathways that are searching for connections reaching out and stretching looking for the extension the meeting point where new realisations will happen.
